So this past weekend, I had to make a cold dish with limited options available, while I’ve had this before I’ve never made it. So I gave it a shot and I need to make this more! This recipe makes a 13x9 pan. You may also substitute low fat ingredients.
you will need:
1 16oz. Container sour cream
2 8oz. Packages cream cheese softened
1 packet taco seasoning
2 C. Mild cheddar cheese, use more if desired
1 large green pepper, chopped
2 large tomatoes, chopped
1 small bag shredded lettuce
9X13 pan
Blend cream cheese till smooth and all lumps are gone, add sour cream and continue blending, add taco seasoning and blend until smooth. You may use more or less taco seasoning to your taste. Spread mixture evenly into pan. Top with the cheddar cheese. Next, add you shredded lettuce, and tomatoes and peppers! Keep chill and enjoy with tortilla chips or whatever you like!
The original recipe called for olives that’s up to you! This dip is so versatile and easy! Some great additions are also chopped onion, cooked ground beef, hot peppers, just to name a few!
